As a dairy farmer, Dennis started custom spraying and selling seed in the 1990’s. In 2003 the dairy farm was sold and he became the owner of CFS. As a Certified Crop Advisor, he focused full time on selling seed and custom spraying to assist other farmers. Dennis’s wife and 2 children are now also a part of the CFS team.
When the business first started out, Laurie worked alongside her husband Dennis. She used to deliver supper to the guys in the sprayers every night. Now that the business has expanded she has quit her meals on wheels' service and currently works in the office as the secretary of CFS.
Gary has worked alongside Dennis and the CFS crew since 2008. He has been a Certified Nutrient Management Consultant since 2009 and travels the province providing Nutrient Management Strategies and Plans for a wide variety of farms. With the help of his wife, Gary runs a hog finishing and cash crop operation in Mapleton Township.
Shawn grew up on a dairy export farm, when he was out of school he took over day to day operations of the land and equipment. In 2004, Shawn then moved into working with large cash crop farmers where he got experience from working with all different soils, seeds and environments. Shawn has joined CFS to assist the everyday farmer in getting the best results.
Ryan joined the CFS team in January 2016. He is able to assist you with your seed, fertilizer, chemical and spraying needs. Ryan is also a licensed exterminator. A lifelong resident of Mapleton Township, Ryan and wife Romy run a sheep and chicken farm along with their daughter and 2 sons.
Jordan grew up on a dairy farm outside of Listowel. He began working for CFS as a sprayer operator in 2017.
Corey grew up on a cash crop farm outside of Listowel. He joined CFS as a tender driver in 2017 and is now a licensed exterminator. Corey continues to pursue his interest in the cropping industry.
Lauren joined the CFS team in the spring of 2017 as a crop scout. She currently attends University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus. Lauren is in the agriculture program and enjoys learning about agronomy.
Through high school Heidi worked in the family business part time. Now graduated, she helps bring new agricultural technologies to CFS and figure out how they can be useful to their customers. Heidi plans on going back to school soon to further her knowledge of agronomy.
Perry began working for CFS when he was 18. He started off operating a SpraCoupe 7650. 5 Years later he bought his own sprayer and started subcontracting for CFS. Perry and his wife Ruth live on a farm outside of Elmira where they cash crop, raise beef cattle and sell maple syrup.
